An Ohio mansion that once belonged to Mike Tyson is becoming a house of worship.

After years of remodeling, the 60-acre property will open as the new home of the Living Word Sanctuary Church later this year, according to Bob Coupland of the Warren Tribune-Chronicle.

Tyson purchased the home - which at one point housed four tigers, mirrored ceilings and walls, and an indoor swimming pool - in 1989 for $300,000 and sold it 10 years later for $1.3 million to Paul Monea, an Ohio mogul who struck gold with the Tae Bo workout fad of the 1990s. By the time Living Word took over the property in January 2015, it had fallen into disrepair.

"There was a jacuzzi, two baths, mirrors on the ceiling and all the walls. We heard there were some crazy parties here," pastor Nicholas DeJacimo said. "... We will turn this into a room where women can get ready for a wedding. There will be a sitting area and place for their gowns."

Although the boxing legend hasn't lived there for some time, there's still plenty of intrigue surrounding it.

"People have always been so enticed about Mike Tyson. We have bikers and people stopping by constantly wanting to see the inside," DeJacimo said.
