LeBron breaks MJ's record with 867 consecutive games of double-digit scoring
If LeBron James remains gung-ho on overtaking Michael Jordan as the greatest NBA player of all time, he gave his case a shot in the arm Friday night.
With his 10th and 11th points of the evening against the visiting New Orleans Pelicans at Quicken Loans Arena, James set a new NBA record with his 867th consecutive game with double-digit points, breaking the tie with His Airness.

The third-longest streak of that nature belongs to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at 787 games, followed by Karl Malone with 575.

It was Jan. 5, 2007 when James failed to score 10 points in a game, finishing with just eight on 3-of-13 shooting against the Milwaukee Bucks during his first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
James has played every game for the 45-30 Cavaliers and came into Friday averaging 27.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists in his 15th year in the Association.
