The Oakland Athletics are going to extreme lengths to keep San Francisco Giants fans out of their home ballpark.

Ahead of Sunday's game between Oakland and San Francisco at Oakland Coliseum, the club announced parking will cost $50 for Giants fans during the 2018 season.

Athletics season-ticket holders will be charged $10 for prepaid parking, while other Athletics fans will pay $30, according to the release.

"Any Giants fan who yells 'Go A's' at the parking gates will be charged only $30 to enter the Oakland Coliseum," said Athletics president Dave Kaval.

Asked whether the price gouge was a joke, Kaval insisted it wasn't.

"No, it's real," he told Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. "We're serious about doing it. It's a discount for Giants fans, after all; parking over there in San Francisco is $75."

The A's travel to San Francisco to play the Giants on Monday and Tuesday, giving the Giants an opportunity to respond with an upcharge of their own for Oakland fans.
