A pair of Premier League affairs will be contested in the FA Cup semi-finals, with Manchester United looking to avoid a trophyless season against Tottenham, and Chelsea handed an easier task against Southampton.

The two fixtures will be played on April 21 and 22 at Wembley Stadium.

United, Tottenham, and Southampton shut out their quarter-final opponents on the weekend to reach the final four. The job was much more difficult for Chelsea, which required an extra-time winner from substitute Pedro to get past Leicester City.

Mark Hughes earned a vital win in his Southampton debut to put the Saints within striking distance of a second cup final in two years. The south coast side lost a combative League Cup final 3-2 to United in February 2017.

For the other three Premier League sides, the FA Cup represents a final shot at silverware. Tottenham has yet to win a trophy in four seasons under manager Mauricio Pochettino, and counterparts Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho are under similar pressure to deliver something this season.

Chelsea is the 6-4 favourite to win the competition, with Tottenham at 2-1 odds, United at 9-4, and Southampton at 14-1.
