Lakers' Randle accuses Jokic of trying to yank his shoulder out

The Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets are apparently incapable of ending a game against each other this season without some sort of heated finish.

During the final minute of the Lakers' 112-103 victory at Staples Center Tuesday, Julius Randle and Nikola Jokic had to be separated by officials and teammates after Randle sent the Nuggets center flying toward the Lakers' bench.

"I just didn't like (how) he was coming down flailing, flapping his arm and stuff," Randle said afterward, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "And that's fine and that is his game, but when you hook my arm and try to pull my shoulder out of place, I don't like that."

In the team's two prior meetings, it was Canadian guard Jamal Murray who was the target of the Lakers' disdain, as they felt he was being "disrespectful."

Murray attempted to show up Lonzo Ball, dribbling around the No. 2 overall pick during the closing moments of a blowout victory for Denver on Dec. 2. In defense of Ball, Randle retaliated by fouling Murray hard.

Just recently on March 9, Lakers head coach Luke Walton shouted a number of expletives at the 21-year-old, feeling he was "trash-talking" his players.

"I don't talk to him much," Randle said of Murray, a fellow University of Kentucky alumnus. "Honestly, I like the kid, to be honest. I just don't ... we are not for the antics that he has had the past few games.

"I like him and he is a Kentucky guy, so I am always going to have that relationship, but this is my team, and I'm not going to let the antics fly."

Randle scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Tuesday, as Los Angeles improved to 31-36 overall.
