Rodman placed on 3 years' probation after pleading guilty to DUI

Dennis Rodman has been sentenced to three years' probation after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges stemming from a DUI arrest earlier this year, according to The Associated Press.

The 56-year-old pleaded guilty Monday to driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit of 0.08 percent.

The Hall of Famer was arrested Jan. 13 in Southern California after he was pulled over for a traffic violation and failed field sobriety and Breathalyzer tests.

In addition to probation, the five-time NBA champion must pay $390 in fines and complete a nine-month alcohol program. Rodman has struggled with alcoholism for some time, and checked into rehab following the arrest. His attorney, Paul Meyer, said Rodman accepts responsibility for his sobriety.
