Jazz can't keep up with demand for 'City Edition' jerseys

The Utah Jazz's new "City Edition" jerseys have been a hot commodity.

Roughly 300 of the jerseys, which are inspired by Utah's sunsets, canyons, and red rocks, first went on sale Jan. 23 and sold out within 72 hours, according to Andy Larsen of KSL.com. They've been near impossible to find since, with Jazz president Steve Starks calling the demand "unlike anything we've ever seen."

The Jazz initially ordered 700 of the jerseys in February 2017, about half of which had Gordon Hayward's name on them. After Hayward was traded to the Boston Celtics, Nike automatically canceled that portion of the order.

Demand has been high on the secondary market, too. The jerseys typically retail for $130, but are now being sold on eBay for as much as $600.

The Jazz told Larsen they'll be getting "about 50" more of the jerseys before the end of the season. A larger shipment is expected after that, but isn't guaranteed.
