Corey Conners followed up Thursday's impressive 67 with a 2-under 69 in the second round to maintain his lead at the Valspar Championship.

The 26-year-old Canadian leads the pack at 6-under, two strokes clear of a five-way tie between Paul Casey, Brandt Snedeker, Tiger Woods, Ryan Palmer, and Kelly Kraft.

While Woods' surge up the leaderboard stole the show, Conners stayed consistent and carded only one mistake - a double bogey on the par-3 fourth.

Conners has never won an event on the PGA Tour, and will tee off alongside Paul Casey in Saturday's final pairing at Innisbrook.
