Colorado took care of business Wednesday when it defeated Arizona State in the opening round of the Pac-12 tournament, but the end of the game did not go so well for Buffaloes head coach Tad Boyle.

Shortly after guards Dominique Collier and Tyler Bey decided to throw down an alley-oop up nine points with under 10 seconds to play, Boyle rushed the court to break up the subsequent scuffle with Arizona State players. In the process, he suffered a torn calf muscle, the coach later told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Boyle was seen wearing a walking boot on his right foot following the game. Colorado is set to take on Arizona in quarterfinal action Thursday.
