Charles "Mask" Lewis' story will soon be told in full.

The first trailer for "Mask" - a documentary focused on the life of the late Tapout co-founder - was released Tuesday by filmmaker Bobby Razak, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who used to helm Tapout media. The film will be released via video on demand April 3.

Lewis founded Tapout in 1997 alongside Dan "Punkass" Caldwell and Tim "Skyskrape" Katz. The brand quickly cemented itself as MMA's first noteworthy apparel company - years before the sport reached mainstream heights - and Lewis and Co. parlayed its success into a reality series a decade after its foundation.

The Tapout co-head died in a car crash in March 2009 at the age of 45. He became the first non-fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame shortly after his passing. His name is often etched on the Octagon in homage.
