Gose walks all 3 batters faced in Astros spring debut
The spring training pitching debut for Anthony Gose couldn't have gone much worse.
The Houston Astros left-hander walked all three Washington Nationals batters he faced during the fifth inning Saturday before he was removed with the bases loaded and no outs. Matt Ramsey would come on in relief and allow all three of those runs to score.

Gose showed impressive velocity but struggled with his command. He topped 98 mph with his fastball and mixed in a curveball - a pitch he labeled as a "curveball from hell" when speaking with reporters prior to his outing.
The 27-year-old was making his Astros debut and first appearance against major-league level talent after converting from an outfielder to a reliever last season. He posted a 7.59 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 10 2/3 innings with the Detroit Tigers Class-A affiliate, striking out 14 and walking six.
If Gose doesn't make the Astros' Opening Day roster, he must be returned to the Texas Rangers as he was a Rule 5 pick.
