A week after appearing in her first game for the varsity girls' basketball team at Camden Catholic in Cherry Hill, N.J., Kate Spadaro received a surprise visit from Harlem Globetrotters star Zeus McClurkin.

Spadaro, who has Down syndrome, has managed the team for the past four years. She was announced as one of the starters for "Senior Night" on Feb. 15 and scored a basket during the game. That caught the attention of the Globetrotters, who offered Spadaro and her teammates complimentary tickets to two of their shows at Wells Fargo Center on March 4.

"Kathleen's been on cloud nine," Kate's father, Jerry Spadaro, said in a video released by the Globetrotters. "She just can't believe all the attention and all the recognition that she's received."
