Iowa State will have a new man guiding its offense next season, as Cyclones offensive coordinator Tom Manning has stepped down from his role, head coach Matt Campbell confirmed Saturday, according to Tommy Birch of The Des Moines Register.

The move comes as a result of Manning's decision to make the move to the NFL, where he has reportedly accepted the position of tight ends coach with the Indianapolis Colts, Birch added, citing several sources with direct knowledge of the situation.

Manning's tenure at Iowa State ends after two seasons where his efforts helped turn a program coming off of six consecutive losing seasons into one that became ranked in the AP Top 25 for three straight weeks at one point in 2017.
