Lindsey Vonn won't be going home with a medal from her first Olympic race since Vancouver 2010 as the American star failed to find the podium in the women's super-G.

Vonn had the unenviable task of being the first competitor on the course after the start was delayed due to high winds. She bobbled toward the end of her run and crossed the line in 1:21.49.

It would take just seven skiers to knock her out of the top three, ensuring that she would not be taking home a medal in the one-run event.

The 33-year-old missed Sochi 2014 due to a knee injury.

Vonn's next action at PyeongChang 2018 is the women's downhill, which begins with training runs on Feb. 18.
