Tiger Woods' return to Riviera didn't go swimmingly.

Woods missed the cut after shooting 5-over on Friday, finishing 6-over after two rounds of the Genesis Open.

His day consisted of three birdies, but seven bogeys, with three consecutive bogeys coming on 11, 12, and 13. Tiger did, however, electrify the crowd with a big blast on 12.

Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas, who shared a group with Tiger, each sit at 2-under following Round 2.

The good news is the 42-year-old Woods did officially commit to playing in the Honda Classic next week, which comes just a little over a month before the Masters take place in April.
