Marco Belinelli truly Trusts the Process.

That was the reason he cited when asked why he chose the Philadelphia 76ers over other teams that showed interest in him on the buyout market, which, according to NBC Sports' Jessica Camerato, included the Oklahoma City Thunder, Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks, and Portland Trail Blazers.

He then elaborated, saying:

"I think I was lucky to watch a couple games from other teams, Philly too, I think you guys play really well, play together on offense and defense. I really trust this kind of thing. Just the opportunity to help this team, to make a run for the playoffs. I think it's gonna be good for me, so I'm really happy and ready to play."

Belinelli, 31, was waived by the Atlanta Hawks last week and officially signed with the eighth-place Sixers on Monday after they promised to give him a significant role with the second unit.

The veteran shooting guard can provide reliable scoring off the bench for Philadelphia, which ranks in the bottom five in that regard. He's averaging 11.4 points on 41.1 percent shooting from the field and 37.2 percent from beyond the arc this season.
