United State Olympic Committee Chairman Larry Probst met with the media in PyeongChang on Friday, with the majority of his availability spent discussing the U.S. Gymnastics scandal surrounding former doctor Larry Nassar.

More than 265 women have accused Nassar of sexual misconduct, with many coming from their time with U.S. Gymnastics under his care. The disgraced doctor was hit with two prison sentences in Michigan of 40-to-125 years and 40-to-175 years for his misconduct. This comes as he`s already serving a 60-year sentence for child pornography convictions.

Olympic stars such as Simone Biles and Aly Raisman have accused USOC officials of failing to investigate complaints, something Probst addressed to begin his media availability.

"The Olympic system failed you and we are so incredible sorry," Probst said, as per Rachel Axon of USA Today.

The USOC also drew heat for not having a representative at Nassar's hearing in Michigan where more than 150 girls recounted their stories in court.

"That was simply a mistake, we should have been there," Probst said. "That was an error in judgment, We should have been there."

Probst made it clear that the USOC will cooperate with two different House committees that are looking to investigate the organization.
