It looks like Shabazz Muhammad wants a change of scenery.

The Minnesota Timberwolves' reserve swingman, who has appeared in just 31 of the team's 55 games, informed the front office recently that he wants to be traded or released ahead of the Feb. 8 trade deadline, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Drafted 14th overall in 2013 by the Utah Jazz, Muhammad was traded to the Timberwolves in a draft-day deal along with center Gorgui Dieng for Trey Burke. While he hovered around 20 minutes per game in his previous three seasons, the 25-year-old has clearly fallen out of favor in Minnesota. This season, he's averaging just 9.6 minutes of action and has been a healthy scratch in 10 of 18 games since Jan. 1.

Muhammad is averaging 3.7 points per game on 38.5 percent shooting to go with 1.5 rebounds per game this season.
