The Milwaukee Brewers are showing interest in Miami Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich, and have reportedly put together a trade offer, according to Craig Mish or SiriusXM.

While talks aren't in their advanced stages, and many teams are said to still be in the mix for Yelich, the Marlins are reportedly targeting the Brewers' top prospect, outfielder Lewis Brinson, according to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com.

With the Marlins in the midst of a rebuild, Yelich has been candid about his desire to move on with his career after teammates Giancarlo Stanton, Marcell Ozuna, and Dee Gordon were all traded away earlier this winter.

Despite the 26-year-old voicing his displeasure with the team, Marlins president Michael Hill said he expects the outfielder - who is still under contract for the next five seasons - to attend FanFest.

A report surfaced recently that suggested the Marlins were looking for the league's top prospect - Ronald Acuna - in trade discussions for Yelich with the Atlanta Braves. Earlier in the offseason, they were said to be targeting Washington Nationals top prospect Victor Robles as well.

However, since then, the Marlins' demands for Yelich were reportedly becoming "more reasonable."

In 2017, Yelich posted a .282/.369/.439 slash line with 18 home runs and 16 stolen bases and is due at least $44.5 million over the next five years.

Heading into the 2018 season, the Brewers have Ryan Braun and breakout star Domingo Santana as likely candidates for the corner outfield spots, with Keon Broxton, Hernan Perez, Brett Phillips, and Brinson in the mix for center-field duties.
