Kris Dunn's injury is more severe than previously thought.

The Chicago Bulls announced Thursday that, following re-evaluation, their starting point guard has been placed under concussion protocol and is out indefinitely.

Dunn suffered the injury when he fell face-first following a dunk late in Wednesday's loss to the Golden State Warriors. He chipped and dislocated two front teeth, which have since been stabilized and splinted with braces. He was originally cleared of concussion symptoms.

The 23-year-old finished with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals in the 119-112 defeat at United Center.

The sophomore guard has enjoyed a big leap in production compared to last year with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's averaging 13.7 points, 6.4 dimes, 3.6 boards, and 2.1 steals in his first season with the Bulls.
