As rumors of the Boston Celtics' interest in Anthony Davis continue to swirl, New Orleans Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry has made it clear what it would take to pry his franchise player from the Big Easy.

"I know there's been rumors about Boston trying to trade for him or whatever," Gentry told the Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett. "And my response to that is, yeah, we'll trade him. But they’re going to have to give us the New England Patriots and the two planes that they just bought. ... And I don't think they're going to do that. So we're not even thinking about those kind of things."

Though the Celtics have reportedly held a longstanding interest in acquiring Davis, the Pelicans have assured teams they have no inclination to trade their dynamic power forward. Gentry's most recent statement all but confirms Davis will be in New Orleans for the foreseeable future - he's under contract through the 2020-21 season.
