Marko Grujic will be keeping up appearances in Wales.

Liverpool announced on Wednesday that Grujic joined Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance. The Bluebirds sit third in the Championship, two points back of Derby County and 12 back of Wolves.

Grujic, who joined Liverpool from FK Crvena Zvezda for a reported transfer fee of £5.1 million in 2016, was Jurgen Klopp's first signing as the Reds' manager. But the Serbian midfielder is joining Cardiff having made just 14 appearances for the English club and having played only 14 minutes in the Premier League this season.

"This is a good opportunity for me, to play in a club that will be fighting until the end to get in to the Premier League," Grujic said. "To work with a manager like Neil Warnock is something I'm looking forward to. I've heard good things about him and when he spoke to me he said some good things about me and that I had a chance to play as part of his squad."

At the international level, Grujic was a prominent member of Serbia's squad when the national team won the Under-20 World Cup in 2015.
