Tennessee's Dormady seeks grad transfer

John David Mercer / USA TODAY Sports

Tennessee quarterback Quinten Dormady will graduate and transfer elsewhere for his senior campaign, he announced Monday.

The 6-foot-4 pivot spent three years with the Volunteers, backing up Josh Dobbs for the first two before ascending to starter at the beginning of 2017. He lost the gig early in the season, however, amid prolonged struggles as a passer.

Dormady, who threw for 925 yards with six touchdowns and six interceptions in 2017, underwent shoulder surgery at the end of October.
