Major League Baseball is investigating sexual assault allegations made against Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano, general manager Thad Levine confirmed Thursday.

"Miguel is complying with everything Major League Baseball is pursuing," Levine told Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "He’s desirous of clearing his name as soon as possible. We're going to let that process unfold and hear from MLB, ideally before spring training so we have a full understanding."

The league informed both parties the investigation remains without a firm timeline.

On Dec. 28, photographer Betsy Bissen tweeted about an incident from an autograph session at a mall in 2015, claiming Sano used force by grabbing her arm, attempted to kiss her multiple times, and lure her into a private hallway.

Sano "unequivocally" denied the allegations and that he has "the utmost respect for women."
