Report: MLBPA investigating after agent fired for filming clients in shower

Jason Wood, a baseball agent from CSE Talent, has been fired and is under investigation by the Major League Baseball Players' Association for reportedly filming clients while they were showering, according to Robert Murray of FanRag Sports.

A player, who wouldn't divulge his identity, was using Wood's home shower when he found a camera. The player then confronted Wood and immediately fired him.

CSE president Danny Martoe released a statement, courtesy of Jeff Passan from Yahoo Sports:

For over 32 years, CSE Talent has prided itself on our moral and ethical standards and have built a solid reputation within the industry. We take pride in working with people who represent these values. It's unfortunate that CSE Talent aligned itself with someone who didn't uphold these same standards and therefore we chose to terminate with cause Wood's employment.

Among notable clients represented by Wood were Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Beinintendi, Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jake Odorizzi, Seattle Mariners pitcher David Phelps, as well as Colorado Rockies pitching prospect Riley Pint, and Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Joey Wentz.

Multiple sources suggested to Murray that there were other unknown players filmed as well.

There's currently a "feeding frenzy" to recruit Wood's former clients, a source told Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.
