Alabama's 26-23 win over Georgia in Monday's national championship was very rewarding for the student-athletes, but perhaps even more so for the coaching staff, at least from a monetary point of view.
Alabama coaches will receive $1.27 million in total bonuses for winning the title, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.
Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt leads the way with a $234,000 bonus, while offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was awarded $216,000.
Head coach Nick Saban, already signed to an eight-year, $65-million contract through 2025, will bring home a more modest $100,000.
Defensive line coach Karl Dunbar received the smallest bonus of the 11 coaches at $49,500.
