Saban calls for more consideration for players when scheduling CFP

Alabama punched its ticket to the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, but that isn't stopping Nick Saban from being critical.

The Alabama bench boss voiced his displeasure with the CFP's scheduling methods Tuesday, suggesting that the committee's priorities need to be realigned.

"Someone has to think about the players, and not what's convenient for the media or TV," Saban said, according to Alex Scarborough of ESPN.

Saban added that his team did not begin to pack up following its Sugar Bowl victory over Clemson until after 1 a.m., which meant the team was forced to spend the night in New Orleans before returning to campus on Tuesday.

With only a week between semifinal games and the national championship, Saban suggested that another travel day between games would be beneficial in order to account for lost travel time, according to Scarborough.
