Rosen named UCLA single-season passing leader after NCAA stat clarification

It may not have been the most climactic record-breaking performance, but Josh Rosen is now UCLA's single-season passing leader.

The star quarterback was given the honor following a stat clarification in an annual statistical review which deemed a 39-yard play against Arizona State on Nov. 11 was, in fact, a two-handed forward chest pass rather than a handoff to receiver Eldridge Massington, according to Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Daily News.

With the correction, Rosen's single-season passing total is now 3,756 yards, surpassing the previous mark set by Brett Hundley in 2012. Rosen had a chance to break the record in the Bruins' regular-season finale against Cal, but was held out of the second half after being injured on a sack to close the second quarter.
