After weeks of trade speculation, Manny Machado might end up sticking with the Baltimore Orioles after all.

The club has received numerous inquiries from rival teams, but apparently won't trade the All-Star third baseman unless the offers improve dramatically. Several teams that were negotiating with the Orioles now believe Machado will remain in Baltimore, reports Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports - possibly until the trade deadline.

Earlier this week, Orioles executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette said he didn't plan to let negotiations for Machado drag on much longer, and if he didn't get the offer he wanted, the team had no issue with keeping the infielder.

"I'm not sure we're going to focus on that much more after tomorrow," Duquette said Wednesday, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN.

It's believed that the price tag for Machado is two young starting pitchers. The Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals are among the teams that have had trade talks with the Orioles, though they're unwilling to give up the top prospects that Baltimore wants, partially because Machado only has one year remaining on his deal.

The Chicago Cubs reportedly also had discussions with the Orioles that involved shortstop Addison Russell, center fielder Albert Almora Jr., and left-hander Mike Montgomery, according to Kubatko. However, Montgomery reportedly isn't enough on the pitching side for the Orioles.
