Clemson's banner day continues with 5-star DE K.J. Henry
It appears Wednesday will go down as one of the best days in Clemson recruiting history, as the Tigers landed their third top-five prospect in the country with defensive end K.J. Henry.
Henry joins the No. 2 and No. 3 overall prospects, Trevor Lawrence and Xavier Thomas, respectively, in committing to Clemson for the class of 2018.
Along with offensive lineman Jackson Carman, the Tigers now have four of the top 12 players, and four of just 14 five-star recruits, signed for this class.
Henry is ranked by ESPN as the No. 3 defensive end in the country, and will join forces with Thomas, the No. 1 defensive end in the class, to wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines for years to come.
The 6-foot-6, 234-pounder held offers from a number of top programs, including Georgia, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and Alabama, but opted to join the perennial powerhouse that Dabo Swinney has built at Clemson.
