Four-star running back James Cook, the younger brother of Florida State legend and current Minnesota Vikings tailback Dalvin, signed his letter of intent with Georgia on Wednesday, rebuffing prolonged interest from the Seminoles.

The younger Cook actually committed to Florida State two years ago, but backed out of the pledge last year. He committed to Georgia on Oct. 26, but a recent visit to Tallahassee made it seem he was reconsidering the Seminoles, for whom his brother holds the all-time rushing record.

Cook, ranked 55th on the ESPN 300 for 2018, could earn playing time quickly, as the Bulldogs are set to lose co-stars and seniors Nick Chubb and Sony Michel from their backfield at season's end.
