LeBron James used a question surrounding the new NBA All-Star Game format Saturday to express his displeasure with a microphone picking up his attempted secret advice for Lonzo Ball after the Cleveland Cavaliers' recent win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Some things could be held private, like my conversation with Lonzo," James said to some chuckling reporters, via Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon. "Everything doesn't need to be said and people find out. There should be some type of privacy."

LeBron was asked whether All-Star team selections should be broadcasted or not. For what it's worth, he said "I'm OK" with that.

This season marks a new format where the top vote-getters from each conference will select squads - regardless of conference - in a fantasy draft-style arrangement.

As far as LeBron's surreptitious Thursday chat with the Lakers rookie goes, it was clear that keeping certain information from the media remains one of The King's primary objectives.

"Find your zone and just stay the f--k locked in," James advised the 20-year-old. "The media is going to ask you what I told you right now. Tell them nothing. Just be aggressive every single day. It's white noise to you. That's all it is. Alright? Let's go."
