Oklahoma will square off against Georgia in this year's Rose Bowl, and for Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield, it may feel a bit like looking into a mirror when he sees the Bulldogs offense take the field.

The teams seemingly have total opposites at quarterback, with Mayfield enjoying the final ride of his dominant college career, and Georgia's Jake Fromm penning a stellar first chapter of his own. Despite being at very different stages, Mayfield can still see a little bit of himself in the man looking to take him down, according to Jake Rowe of 247 Sports.

"You don’t see freshmen commanding an offense very often, for many reasons, but he’s special,” Mayfield said. “He’s got the talent but it’s just that charisma he has. That’s something that I can kind of recognize. That’s something that I had early on, to take control of a huddle. You feel that energy off of him. He controls that team, but their running backs are very talented."

Mayfield's praise of Fromm is noteworthy, considering the former just captured the highest individual honor in college football. He isn't the only one paying his respect to the freshman gunslinger, however, as Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley also complimented Fromm's ability to manage a game as well as make "big-time throws all over the place."

Oklahoma and Georgia will meet with national championship hopes on the line on Jan. 1. It remains to be seen whether or not the torch will be passed, or if the veteran has at least one more big-time performance left in the tank.
