Pruitt nabs 1st Tennessee commit with 4-star WR Alontae Taylor
Randy Sartin / USA TODAY Sports
Jeremy Pruitt has landed his first commitment as head coach of Tennessee, and it comes in the form of four-star wide receiver Alontae Taylor.
Taylor, who announced the decision on Twitter, is rated as the sixth-best receiver in the class of 2018 and the 46th overall prospect on the ESPN 300.
It's a huge win for Pruitt after Taylor decommitted from Tennessee following the firing of Butch Jones in November. The fact the new coach was able to snag the talented wideout over schools such as LSU and Georgia should bode well for the Volunteers' recruiting efforts going forward.
