An original copy of the final scouting report on former New York Yankees shortstop and current Miami Marlins CEO Derek Jeter sold for $102,000 on Sunday, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.

The one-page report - with two carbon copies - was sold by Heritage Auctions, which, despite estimating its value at $50,000, had no idea what the payoff would be.

"For unique one-of-a-kind items like this, the market is really strong," said Chris Ivy, director of sports collectibles for Heritage. "And the market is especially strong for Yankees items, as they are the king of the sports memorabilia market."

The scouting report was written by Dick Grouch in 1992. In it, Grouch called Jeter - a high-school student at the time - "a Yankee."

Jeter spent his entire 20-year career with the Yankees, recording 3,465 hits and posting a slash line of .310/.377/.440. He also won five World Series titles.
