David Samson is no longer president of the Miami Marlins after being dismissed in September, but he doesn't appear to be done offering his thoughts on baseball.

On Sunday, Samson accused super-agent Scott Boras of "pandering and tampering" after he read comments Boras made to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal:

Samson's reactionary tweet addressed comments Boras made about the effects the Giancarlo Stanton trade had on his client, Bryce Harper, who was presumably going to be a free-agent target of the New York Yankees next season. The Stanton deal could keep that from happening.

"A Bronx opera ... The Three Tenors ... Hal’s genius, vision," Boras wrote in an email to Rosenthal, referring to the Yankees' Hal Steinbrenner. "Alone the three were stars ... now a galaxy of international popularity."

When asked to clarify his comments by Ken Davidoff of the New York Post, Boras replied with the following via text message:

"I didn’t say specific players … just that Hal has a love for (the) arts and I am sure he would love the Three Tenors."
