An Army investigation cleared quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw of a rape allegation from 2014.

"The Army takes all allegations of sexual assault seriously, and every allegation of sexual assault is thoroughly investigated," the United States Military Academy said Saturday in a statement obtained by ESPN.

"The Army and The US Military Academy are aware that sexual assault allegations from a single incident were made against Cadet Bradshaw in 2014 and that the allegations were thoroughly investigated by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. The investigation concluded that the allegations against Cadet Bradshaw were unfounded and the case was closed."

The rape allegation from former West Point cadet Madeline Lewis didn't come to light publicly until this year, but Bradshaw was suspended from the football program and didn't play throughout the 2014 season.

He also missed two games in 2015, but has appeared in all but one contest over the last two seasons.

The senior set Army's single-season rushing record this year with 1,472 yards, with a game against Navy still to be played.
