College football will be returning to the ball diamond in 2018.
Notre Dame's Shamrock Series is alive and well, as the university announced it will be taking on Syracuse at Yankee Stadium for their Nov. 17 matchup next season.
The Shamrock Series is an annual "home" game played by the Fighting Irish at a neutral site.
The upcoming installment will be the 27th time Notre Dame battles in Yankee Stadium, new or old, with the last coming against Rutgers in 2013.
Notre Dame is 5-3 lifetime against Syracuse, including the most recent win, 50-33 on Oct. 1, 2016 in MetLife Stadium.
