New York Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. will be out for at least two weeks with a stress injury in his lower left leg, the Knicks announced Tuesday. He has begun rehabilitation and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

The Knicks are fearing the worst with the loss of Hardaway, who has been a revelation for the team after signing a massive four-year, $71-million offer sheet this past summer, prying him from the Atlanta Hawks.

They have been without their starting shooting guard for the last two games, losing both to the Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers.

Hardaway is averaging career highs in points (17.8), rebounds (4.2), assists (3.3), and steals (1.1) through 21 games this season.
