Report: Arkansas targeting Norvell, Morris after whiffing on Malzahn

Arkansas is looking to make a run at Memphis' Mike Norvell or SMU's Chad Morris after missing out on Auburn's Gus Malzahn for its vacant head coaching position, sources told CBS Sports' Barrett Sallee.

Malzhan was reported to be atop the Razorbacks' wish list, but he agreed to a new seven-year deal with Auburn on Sunday, taking him out of the picture.

Both Norvell and Morris have enjoyed success at Group of 5 programs, but have yet to be tested as head coaches at the Power 5 level.

Arkansas went 4-8 this season under Bret Bielema, who was subsequently dismissed.
