Joel Embiid wants you to trust the process, and trust his premonitions.

The 7-footer's war of words with Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond culminated when the giants went mano-a-mano Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center, with Embiid earning the last laugh in a 108-103 victory for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Pulling him out of the paint, Embiid induced Drummond's sixth foul at the 2:35 mark of the fourth quarter, forcing his adversary to exit with Philadelphia up by just a single point at the time.

"Before the game, I told my teammates he (Drummond) was going to foul out and he did," said Embiid afterward, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia's Jessica Camerato. "But it's all fun. At the end of the game we hugged it out."

It was just the second time this season that Drummond - who finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and five steals against Philly - has fouled out.

Embiid scored more (25) and was just as effective on the glass (10 rebounds), but he did turn the ball over six times, missing 14 of his 21 shots from the field.
