Now that the deadline for MLB teams to tender 2018 contracts has passed, several arbitration-eligible players have instead become free agents.

Here's the list (to be updated following announcements):

The Atlanta Braves were reportedly seeking a trade partner for Adams, who the team acquired in an exchange with the St. Louis Cardinals this past season. Failing to do so, the club elected not to go to arbitration with the first baseman.

Smyly is perhaps the next biggest name on the list, but he's recovering from Tommy John surgery and will miss most of the 2018 season.

All players could still return to their previous teams on new deals. In fact, the Royals have already re-signed outfielder Terrance Gore to a minor-league deal after non-tendering him earlier in the day.

The Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Washington Nationals tendered contracts to all arbitration-eligible players.
