Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy has decided to stay with the school, turning down a reported six-year, $42-million offer from Tennessee, according to college football insider Brett McMurphy.

Gundy met with Tennessee officials on Tuesday in Dallas, and had even received phone calls from former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning.

Gundy will remain at Oklahoma State, where he has spent the past 13 years. This year will mark their 12th consecutive bowl appearance.

He had signed a five-year contract worth $4.2 million per season in June.
