Raptors' Wright doesn't need shoulder surgery, but reportedly out one month

The Toronto Raptors announced injured point guard Delon Wright will not require surgery on his dislocated shoulder. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Wright is still expected to miss the next month.

Wright first injured his shoulder Nov. 15 after getting tangled up with Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins while contesting a rebound.

A key piece off the bench, Wright has averaged 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game for the 11-5 Raptors. In his place, Fred VanVleet has seen an increased role as Kyle Lowry's primary backup, tallying 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per outing over his two most recent appearances.
