UFC alum Siver to headline Stuttgart show in ACB debut

For the first time in nearly a decade, Dennis Siver won't be fighting under the UFC banner in his next trip to the cage.

After inking a multi-fight deal with Russian outfit Absolute Championship Berkut earlier this month, Siver is now set to make his promotional debut opposite Martin Van Staden in the lightweight main event of ACB 75 on Nov. 25 in Stuttgart, Germany.

The outfit announced the matchup Monday on Twitter.

Siver competed in the UFC's Octagon in all but one of his last 21 bouts, and got his hand raised a dozen times over a decade-long stint that began with a submission loss to Jess Liaudin at UFC 70. The German joined the promotion at welterweight, competed primarily at lightweight, and exited as a featherweight after edging BJ Penn by majority decision in his return from a two-year layoff this past June. He meets Van Staden - a winner of three straight by TKO - with a professional record of 23-11.
