As the Arizona Fall League winds down, the youngest MVP in league history has been crowned.

Ahead of Saturday's championship game, Atlanta Braves outfield prospect Ronald Acuna became the youngest player to win the MVP award at 19 years and 11 months old.

The record was previously held by Gleyber Torres - a shortstop prospect for the New York Yankees - who became the first teenage MVP last year. The Yankees' farmhand is currently ranked as the top prospect in all of baseball, according to MLB Pipeline. Torres' birthday is Dec. 13, while Acuna's falls five days and one year later.

Heading into Saturday's championship game against the Mesa Solar Sox, Acuna had posted a .325/.414/.639 slash line with seven homers and two stolen bases through 23 games.

Acuna, currently ranked the No. 5 prospect in all of baseball by MLB Pipeline, has been rocketing up prospect rankings after a dominant 2017 campaign split between High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A. In 54 games with the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves, the 19-year-old phenom slashed .344/.393/.548 with nine home runs and 11 stolen bases.

Previous AFL MVP winners range from draft bust Dustin Ackley to major-league sensations Nolan Arenado and Kris Bryant.
