Michigan's Peters taken to hospital for head injury

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Michigan quarterback Brandon Peters was taken to hospital and underwent tests after suffering a head injury Saturday versus Wisconsin, head coach Jim Harbaugh said postgame, per Nick Baumgardner of the Detroit Free Press.

Peters was carted off the field after taking a big hit from Andrew Van Ginkel during the third quarter.

Despite the scare, Harbaugh said Peters will fly home with the team. The redshirt freshman went 9-of-18 passing for 157 yards before being relieved by senior John O'Korn.

Michigan fell 24-10 to the Badgers, dropping the Wolverines to 8-3 on the season.
