Paul Pogba's long and often uncertain spell on the sidelines is over.

More than two months after suffering a hamstring injury, the Manchester United midfielder returned to Jose Mourinho's starting XI Saturday against Newcastle United.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who's recovered from an ACL tear, settled for a seat on the bench as he awaits his first appearance of the season.

Pogba last started for United against Basel on Sept. 12.

Ibrahimovic's previous appearance came in a Europa League contest back in April last season. The big Swede said he re-signed with the Red Devils to "finish what I started."
