Alabama will face Mercer on Saturday without the services of Minkah Fitzpatrick.

The star defensive back appeared in street clothes for the Crimson Tide's warmup Saturday, and will be held out of the contest in order to rest a nagging hamstring injury, according to Marq Burnett of SEC Country.

Fitzpatrick suffered the injury in Alabama's win over LSU on Nov. 5, but was able to suit up last week for its next contest against Mississippi State.

A projected first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the game likely marks Fitzpatrick's final home contest in his college career. The junior has recorded 44 total tackles this season with 1.5 sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble.
