It looks as though LSU will be without two star defenders versus Tennessee, as multiple sources told Ross Dellenger of The Advocate that Arden Key and Donnie Alexander are both out due to injuries.

Key injured his knee in the first quarter but returned to see action in both the second and third frame, while Alexander played the entire game despite suffering a shoulder or neck injury in the opening half.

While losing Alexander - who is fourth on the team in tackles - is significant, the absence of Key is the headliner for the Tigers defense. The star edge rusher, who has four sacks and 33 tackles on the season, is widely expected to be a top-15 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

The good news for LSU is the Volunteers offense is one of the worst units in the country this season, ranking a dismal 117th overall in points per game.
